No you have no idea who they are and why they are talking to you.

Can you be sure the person you are talking to has actually represented themselves accurately?

No there is no way to tell unless they have a facebook or picture of themselves on the screen as you are talking.

Why do we ask you to hide  your personal information?

Because you never know who could come and see it.

• Why must you never give your Social Security Number or bank account number to anyone online? Because they can use it to take money away from you.
